Welcome to Bookworm Babies UK
A World of Reading Fun
What we do
Sharing a story
At Bookworm Babies UK, our aim is that children are fully engaged in fun reading activities. We will always start with sharing a story. Each session will have a new book ranging from traditional tales, popular books and books that tackle social issues among young children.
Activities
After our story, we will have an activity to follow. These activities will vary each week and will have a learning focus that is in line with the current Early Years Foundation Stage. Most importantly though is that the children have fun and see the link from the story they have had to the fun they will have in the activity. This also provides a perfect opportunity for children and their accompanying adult to interact and share their skills.

Home Learning
We create a range of activities and home learning packs for your children to enjoy with you. They are carefully designed to help your child get a head start with their early learning. We are continually working to create more activities which can be downloaded or mail ordered to support you and your child at home. These can be accessed through our shop.
About Us
Making Reading Fun
As early as I can remember, my father would read stories and books to me. Often in place of the traditional bedtime story, he would become the storyteller and revive stories from his childhood, animating his words as he spoke. I was always enthralled by my father's stories. When I became a mother myself, one of the first questions my father asked me was, "Are you reading stories to the baby?" Of course I was! I spent more money on books than I did on toys.

In 2018, I began working on a program where young children can share stories with loved ones and get more than just a story out of it. That's when the idea of Bookworm Babies was born.

The idea is that we share a story and then follow with an activity to stimulate other areas of learning for the children. Learning through play is an important part of child development, so why not use a book build on this?
